Healthy eating

What is healthy eating about?

What is healthy eating about?

As long as you’ve got your protein and your vegetables but its all about balance.

I say iron rich foods, cos those bubs drain us of a lot of the stuff.

What the little ones see you eat encourages them what to eat.

It’s frustrating like, you know, some unhealthy foods are heaps cheaper than the healthy ones.

What is this healthy eating about?
Healthy eating is about getting bub the foods that help them grow healthy and strong.

Protein

Protein like meat, fish, lentils or beans help you and bub develop strong muscles and a strong immune system.

Vegetables

Vegetables are high in vitamins which help with your immune system.

Fruit

Fruit is high in vitamins that help brain and cell growth.

Grains

Grains are high in fibre and help us to digest food.

Dairy

Dairy has calcium that helps mum and bub have strong bones and teeth.

These foods improve your sleep, improves your health and helps bub in their development.
So how do I make sure I’m eating healthy?
Try to make your plate as colourful as possible. Different coloured foods all have different things to help us be healthy.
